What's New in Revolink β May 2026
A/B testing for links, branded QR codes, a security upgrade, and a cleaner dashboard layout. Here's everything we shipped this month.

A Busy Month
May brought a round of updates we've been building toward for a while β some visible, some under the hood. Here's a summary of everything that shipped.
A/B Testing for Links
You can now split traffic across multiple destination URLs directly from the link editor. Set any weight distribution β 50/50, 70/30, or a custom multi-variant split β and Revolink will distribute clicks accordingly, with per-variant click counts tracked in real time.

This is link-level A/B testing: one URL to share everywhere, multiple destinations behind it. No third-party tools, no code. Enable the toggle, set your variants, and start collecting data.
A/B testing and routing rules are mutually exclusive on a link β when one is active, the other is paused. Each serves a different purpose: rules route intentionally, A/B testing learns.

Branded QR Codes
QR codes generated from your links can now be fully customized: foreground color, background color, and an optional centered logo. Changes preview in real time, and you can download the result as PNG or JPG.

A QR code in your brand colors reads differently than a generic black-and-white grid. On product packaging, event materials, or print ads, the difference between a code that looks intentional and one that looks like an afterthought is real β and now it takes about ten seconds to fix.

Dark Mode β Designed, Not Inverted
Dark mode is now available in Revolink. Both themes were designed from scratch β the dark version isn't a color inversion of the light one, it's a fully considered visual system built to work in low-light environments.
The result: better contrast ratios across both themes, consistent component behavior, and an interface that actually feels good to use at 11pm when you're checking campaign performance.

Security: Sensitive Data Moved to httpOnly Cookies
Session tokens are now stored in httpOnly cookies instead of browser-accessible storage. HttpOnly cookies can't be read by JavaScript β including any malicious scripts that might end up running on the page β which eliminates token theft via XSS as an attack vector.
This change also adds SameSite and Secure flags, closing a related class of cross-site request forgery attacks. Nothing changes on your end β your session works exactly as before, just with a meaningfully stronger security guarantee behind it.

Mobile & Layout Improvements
A round of fixes aimed at making the dashboard work better on smaller screens. The date picker β previously awkward to use on mobile β has been rebuilt to behave correctly on touch devices. Several other layout issues on mobile were addressed in the same pass: better spacing, improved table scrolling, and fixes to overlapping elements that made certain views hard to navigate on phones.
Nothing groundbreaking, but the kind of polish that matters when you're checking link stats from your phone between meetings.
