Without device routing

One link means one destination — and that destination is wrong for at least half your audience.

Your ad link opens the mobile web — but the app is installed. The user expects the app.

Desktop visitors land on your mobile-first checkout. The layout breaks. They bounce.

You can't deep-link into the app from an email campaign — one URL can only do one thing.

You have no way to A/B test mobile vs desktop landing pages with the same link.

With Revolink

Each visitor type gets the experience built for them — from the same link.

Mobile users tap → open app or mobile-optimized page

Desktop users click → land on full web experience

iOS and Android can route to separate app stores

Same link in every ad, email, and post — forever

Set up in 4 steps

No code. No SDK. Works in 3 minutes.

01

Create a Revolink smart link

Paste any destination URL and get a branded short link on your custom domain — e.g. go.yourbrand.com/download.

02

Add device rules

3 min

In the dashboard: click Add Rule → pick Device → select Mobile → paste your App Store URL. Add another rule for Desktop pointing to your website.

03

Optionally split iOS and Android

Under the Mobile rule, you can add an OS sub-condition: iOS → App Store link, Android → Play Store link. All covered from one smart link.

04

Share one link everywhere

Done

Use the same link in your app install ads, email campaigns, social bio, and QR codes. Revolink routes each visitor in under 50ms — completely invisible.

Common questions

How does Revolink detect the visitor's device type?

Revolink reads the User-Agent string at the edge on every request. Mobile, tablet, and desktop are detected instantly — no JavaScript, no cookies, no delay. Detection takes under 2ms and never adds noticeable latency to the redirect.

Can I redirect iOS and Android users to different places?

Yes. You can create separate rules for iOS and Android within the mobile device type. This is how deep-linking to app stores works: iOS users go to the App Store URL, Android users go to the Play Store URL — all from the same link.

What if a visitor's device doesn't match any rule?

They go to your fallback destination. Every Revolink link requires a fallback URL so no visitor ever reaches a dead end.

Can I combine device routing with country or time rules?

Yes. You can layer conditions — for example: German mobile users in the evening route differently than German desktop users during business hours. Rules are evaluated top-to-bottom; the first matching rule wins.

Does device routing work for deep links into iOS and Android apps?

Yes. Set the iOS rule destination to your app's App Store URL (or a universal link if you have one). Set the Android rule to your Play Store URL or app deep link. Desktop visitors see your website. One link handles all three.

Is there a limit on how many device rules I can create?

Free plan: up to 2 rules per link. Pro plan: up to 10 rules per link. Business plan: unlimited rules per link, including any combinations of device, country, OS, and time conditions.
