Preset for the bio link. Tie the content value to a time window and an old video breaking out stops being a mystery spike.

Your presets
No presets yet. Fill in the fields above and save the combination you keep retyping.
These presets live in this browser only
They survive a refresh, but they do not follow you to another device and your teammates cannot see them. A free Revolink account stores three UTM templates on the server - unlimited on paid plans.
Save presets to an accountThis URL is long, and it only tells you where clicks came from
Shorten it with Revolink and you also get click counts, geography, device breakdown - and the UTMs survive the redirect.
On most channels a spike follows a publish. Here the algorithm can surface something from months ago at any moment, which means the link in your bio is being clicked by people who watched a video you have half forgotten.
A video posted three months ago can start moving today. If the bio link has changed twice since then, the traffic it sends is attributed to whatever is in the slot now - not to the video that actually earned it.
You cannot know in advance which video will take off, so tie utm_content to when the link was live - bio-march, bio-week-12. Cross-referencing that window against your posting schedule is the closest thing to per-video attribution the single-link constraint allows.
Comments and captions do not give you a working link. Everything routes through the profile, which makes that one slot disproportionately valuable and worth tagging carefully every single time you change it.
Promoting an existing video does not make the traffic organic. utm_medium=paid-social for anything behind spend, social for the bio link and organic posts - otherwise budget and reach blur into one number.
Same single-link problem on Instagram, with different placements. All channels are in the full builder.
utm_source=tiktok with utm_medium=social for the bio link and organic posts, and utm_medium=paid-social for anything running through TikTok Ads Manager, including Spark Ads that promote an organic video.
Use time as the dimension. Set utm_content to the period the link was live, change it when you change the link, and match spikes against what you posted that week. It is not per-video attribution, but it is specific enough to tell which content is pulling.
In-app browsers often strip or never send a referrer, so without UTM parameters analytics has nothing to work with and files the visit as direct. Parameters in the URL are the only thing that reliably survives that trip.
It helps for two reasons. A tagged URL is long and the bio field is small, and more importantly a short link can be repointed without editing your profile - useful when a campaign ends but old videos keep sending people to it.
